Whether it be he uses the lambs to escape or he builds a boat by himself, Odysseus uses resourcefulness and intelligence to accomplish his goal of getting back to Ithaca. Odysseus uses his intelligence to build a boat to help get back to Ethica. “By the fourth day he had completed all this work” (Homer 5. 140-150) Odysseus applies his skills he knows to build the boat. His intelligence helps him build it and his Intelligence helps him build the boat faster so it does not take so long. His intelligence also help show how he is strong, “I’ve always hear about your great renown, a mighty warrior-your hands are strong” (homer 16. 127-130) The trait Resourcefulness helps Odysseus accomplish his goal.
