Nelson Rolihlahla Mandela is one of the most known south Africans in the world , he was a politician and a philanthropist who served as a president of south Africa from 1994 to 1999 . In life people will always look up to others who suffered and experienced more pain then them , and this wonderful man sacrificed all his life to change things that needed to be changed from his view of point. Mandela was a shining example of the kind of leadership we need these days . He was very confident in his own skin , he believed that anything in this world can be achieved by peace and love , he taught his enemies great lessons by forgiving them and giving them more chances, he had a unique vision that made him able to see beyond the pain and struggles . Greatness isn’t easy to be achieved , but as I mentioned before the more you suffer and sacrifice, people start looking up to you as an example of greatness and leadership , and this pain and suffering helped shape Mandela to be one of the greatest. During the 27 years Mandela spent in jail his depersonalization was rarely found anywhere else , he was always forgiving his jailors and feeling compassion for those who helped cause him a lot of pain. Greatness is different than perfection , when we talk about Nelson Mandela we always say that he is great but never perfect because nobody is perfect on this planet , as a leader Nelson always admitted his mistakes in front of everyone and was always trying to be a better person that the day before, he use to always acknowledge his flaws which made him even greater and greater. A story told by a person who served for 5 years near Nelson Mandela was a great example of humbleness and greatness, this guy has travelled far and wide with him , he was telling everyone around him with tears all over his face that he received nothing but courtesy and kindness from Mr. President , he was so shocked that Mandela used to treat him the same way he treated the president of United States and the Queen of England, As a president he used to win all kinds of people around him old they were or young , strong or weak, men or women , if it was about winning people, he would be the master of this
