Michael Jeffery Jordan, an all-time superstar in the NBA, or National Basketball Association, was born on February 17, 1963 in Brooklyn, New York. He left college during his junior year at the University of North Carolina, or UNC for short, to go play in the NBA. Putting out tremendous amounts of effort on the court, he earned many awards. He earned the NBA Rookie of the Year award, and he also earned five regular season MVP awards along with three All-Star game MVP awards, making him one of the most decorated players in the history of the NBA. Michael started playing basketball at a very young age. He didn’t play all four years of high school basketball either. In fact, he got cut from the team his ninth grade year. He got drafted in 1985 by the Chicago Bulls. He scored very well, as previously mentioned. He won many awards, as I had also mentioned previously earlier. One thing that I neglected to mention was him winning six NBA titles in his entire career. He won three NBA titles back to back, and then he retired to play baseball for a year. After he played baseball for that year, he decided to come back to the NBA. He came back and won the NBA title 3 more times, in a row. It was during these times that he won all those MVP awards and such things. I also neglected to mention that he helped the 1984 and the 1992 U.S. Olympic basketball teams win the gold medal. The 1992 Olympic team, or better known as “The Dream team,” was the team that Jordan played on to get the 1992 Olympic gold medal. Among him were legends Larry Bird and Earl “Magic” Johnson. He also owns the NBA team now known as the “Charlotte Hornets”. He got married in April of 2013 to a woman whose name is Yvette Prietto, or now known as Yvette Jordan. Michael
