The purpose of this rebirth was to make a cultural or political movement. Italy went through a Renaissance in 1400. Humanism is the focus of humankind in terms of endeavors. These endeavors include being intellectual and artistic. During the Italian Renaissance, humanism was an important concept. Ethnocentrism is the habit of judging people by their culture or ethnic group. This habit is seen in a lot of people due to their own pride.…show more content…
The purpose of these refinements was to ward off Protestant beliefs. Through catholic reformation, the new religious order of Jesuits was formed. The commercial revolution was the refinement of the fundamental economic structure. Trade in Europe roses dramatically. Money during the commercial revolution was partially brought in through the selling of silver and gold. A proletariat was a person of a working social class. These people didn't have wealth producing property. In Europe, the proletarians suffered from high food prices. The scientific revolution was a period of time of advancements in society. These advancements included new theories,technology, and literature. The scientific revolution took place during the 17th century. The Heliocentric Universe was the Greek belief that the Earth was the center of the universe. This theory was somewhat disproven by astronomical philosophers. Copernicus, Johannes Kepler and Galileo were the main astronomers who tried to prove the Heliocentric Universe theory wrong. Enlightenment was an intellectual movement.
