F. Scott Fitzgerald was born on September 24, 1896, in St. Paul Minnesota. He is known for writing short stories and novels. He saw his first writing appear in the school newspaper in print at the age of 13. When he was 15 his parents sent him to Newman School, where he met Sigourney Fay. He noticed F. Scott Fitzgerald’s amazing talent and encouraged him to keep writing. He graduated from Newman School in 1913, and decided to stay in New Jersey to attend Princeton University to continue his artistic development. He dropped out of school to join the U.S. Army, but before he was called to report to duty he wrote the novel The Romantic Egotist. He died on December 21, 1940 in Hollywood, California.F. There are more than 25 million copies of The Great Gatsby made. In 1925 when the book was published it only costed $2. The book has been written in 42 different languages. The Great Gatsby was about a young man named Nick that moved to New York the summer of 1922 so that he learn the bond business. He buys a home in West Egg, the rich part of Long Island. Nicke’s neighbor is a mysterious man named Jay Gatsby, he lived in a mansion and though parties every Saturday night. Nick went to college at New Haven (Yale) and have connections in East Egg.
