Khaled Hosseini’s The Kite Runner, is an emotional tale of a man’s struggles with his past, and his attempts to overcome his guilt. The main character Amir betrayes his best friend and lives for the next 26 years filled with guilt and remorse. At that point, an old friend from Afghanistan informed Amir that Hassan’s son is in an orphanage back in Pakistan. Amir makes the decision to atone for his wrongdoings and heads back to save Sohrab. This part of the book is the most interesting. The interaction between Sohrab and Amir is incredibly distant. From here until the end of the book, Amir tries as hard as he can to make amends with Hassan’s memory and his relationship with Sohrab. At the end of the book, we see that Amir had found peace with
