Gene Forrester is not guilty. Mr. Forrester was good friends with Phineas. No amount of envy or jealousy would drive this boy to harm his friend in such of way in which the events escalated. Mr. Forrester was stepping towards his friend Phineas, and this motion caused him to fall by accident. There was no intention in this boy’s heart to hurt Phineas at that moment, and the whole incident was not a result of malice. The prosecution failed to acknowledge the common sense that Mr. Forrester was Phineas’s best friend and how close they were to each other. This boy did nothing wrong. Do not convict him of something he did not mean to happen. There is nothing worse than being convicted of harming your best friend, practically family; especially
