1.10 Reading Response - American Horror Story: Murder House
Murder House is the first season of American Horror Story, which is an anthology series. The season revolves around the Harmon family, Ben, Vivien and their teenage daughter Violet. They move into a restored mansion in Los Angeles after Ben has an affair and Vivien has a miscarriage, unaware that the house is haunted by its former inhabitants. We learn that the house has a very gory history, and everyone who dies in the house turns into a ghost and is unable to leave.
Ben, a psychiatrist, begins seeing patients in his home, including the possibly psychotic Tate Langdon who begins a relationship with the depressed Violet. I appreciated these two characters and found them quite relatable.
