In the two-year wellness action plan that I had created, I first focused on Intellectual Wellness. In this dimension of wellness, I had encouraged myself to step out of my comfort zone and ask questions that would help increase my knowledge. I used to be hesitant to ask questions because I believed that it would make me look unintelligent; however, I have changed that way of thinking and ask questions more often to increase my understanding. My other goal was to increase my amount of life experiences. Over the past year, I believe I have gone out of my comfort zone more than ever, but I still feel as if I could do more. I only had one goal in this dimension of wellness, and that was to improve my management skills when it came to stress. This past year has been stressful, knowing that I would graduate soon and not knowing what the future holds. It has been months since I have had an anxiety attack and it is all due to the fact that I was focused on techniques that would help me relax. My main techniques were to pray, focus on the good things in my life at that moment, and to take deep breaths. Here, I had the goal of choosing an agency that I would like to work with. At the beginning of the first year, I had many different thoughts on what I wanted to do or go. I felt anxious because most of my classmates had an idea of where they wanted to go, but I did not. What challenged me with this dimension of wellness was the fact that I had did not fully know what I wanted. So, in order for me to have achieved my goal, I had to look into myself and choose what I thought would be the right fit. I had always been interested in the Canadian Border Services Agency, and when they came to Networking Day I was sold. They had made it sound so appealing and I felt a pull to the agency that I had not felt with others. I am still working on identifying what is best for me and researching more about the agency.
