But when I’ve finished, if the solution is not beautiful I know it’s wrong.” - Buckminster Fuller OR “As an architect, you design for the present, with an awareness of the past, for a future which is unknown” ¬¬- Norman Foster Being overwhelmed by the idea of art, innovation and creativity ever since I was a kid, I always wanted to pursue a career where I can use my inherent traits to its fullest. Moreover, the beauty of our natural and manmade environment and its impact on our wellbeing is something that was fascinating to me during my early years. And I always knew that one day I would become an architect who would work for human wellbeing through creating beautiful architecture around the town. As grew up, I came to realise that wellbeing doesn’t comes from beauty of its architecture alone but how well it serves the basic needs of its occupants by providing a place for everything and everything in its place. Creativity helped me to survive as an interior designer rather than as an architect in some of the esteemed firms of Dubai, Couture Interiors and Zuboon Interiors Fit Outs. While working as an interior designer I particularly gained experience in planning of commercial spaces, detailing of interiors, furniture designing, lighting and other services. With the reconciliation of conflicting demands, constant dialogue and exchange of ideas with the clients, I came to realize that listening is vital to an architect, because a design should serve the people who utilize not those who design. There are lessons to be learned in every project and many opportunities which were never realized
