INTERNATIONAL HUMAN RIGHTS Child sexual abuse SHRESHTH RASTOGI B-20 B.A.,L.Lb(5 YEARS) 1st YEAR Child abuse can occur anywhere like children home, institutions such as school, college, university or any other organizational places etc. In The USA ( Centers for disease control and prevention) defines child abuse as “child maltreatment as any act or series of acts of commission or omission by a parent or other caregiver that result in harm, potential for harm, or threat of harm to a child.’ As per WHO child sexual abuse(CSA) is defined as ‘inappropriate sexual behaviour with a child, acts being committed by a person responsible for the care of a child.’ Sexual abuse is defined as ‘’any act that forces or entices a child or young person to participate in sexual activities regardless of whether the child is aware of what is going on. Child sexual abuse or child molestation is a type of child abuse in which an adult person or older adolescent uses a child for sexual stimulation.
