Dating back to as early as the BC period people all around the world have used herbs to cure and break down bacteria. Even modern day doctors have been using medicines that include herbs in them. Particularly Phytomedicine and Botanical medicine, all including various types of herbs- from plant seeds, berries, and even leaves. Various cultures including the Chinese, Egyptians, various African cultures have been using herbs to heal and kill bacteria throughout thousands of years. Even today a total of 80% of the human population uses herbal medicine as a resource when curing and killing bacteria. Depending on which herb is used each has its Inman different ingredients it relies on to kill the bacteria. For example if the scientists were to use a certain kind of plant to kill the bacteria, the factors of the environment would ultimately affect the effectiveness of the herb on killing the bacteria. Typically E-coli are not dangerous, but sometimes it can cause bloody diarrhea, kidney failure, and anemia. Another type of E-coli strand can include the patient getting a urinary tract infection. When attaining these types of E-coli the patient may have come in contact with feces or may have eaten food that contained feces from a human or animal. Three or four days after coming in contact with E-coli the patient may experience bloody diarrhea, stomach cramps, and vomiting. Many experiments including bacteria growth is tested on blood agar which is usually a dish of sheep’s blood which enables the growth of bacteria to occur. In studies shown in the past when E.coli has come into contact with various herbs the E.coli bacteria has in fact diminished slowly after a total of seven days.
