A CLINICAL STUDY OF THE CUTANEOUS MANIFESTATIONS OF TYPE II DIABETES MELLITUS INTRODUCTION: Diabetes Mellitus has been a major public health problem in India, and our country has a distinction of having the largest number of diabetics in the world (1). Diabetes Mellitus (DM) is a disease that affects all organs and tissue of human body. The changes in the skin are parallel to those occurring in the internal organs. Many skin disorders show an increased incidence and severity in patients with diabetes mellitus; the biochemical factors responsible for this are poorly understood.
