From Billie Piper to Michael Jackson, the 2000’s decade has had many different music trends. Some major ones including teen pop, country, alternative rock, R&B, hip hop, and techno, but that’s only skimming the wide selection of different genres. The 2000’s decade is known as one of the decades with the least amount of new styles, with an exception of some indie-related styles, such as emo and electronic. The use of auto tune was on the rise, as well as media player programs such as iTunes and Youtube. Besides the change of genres, the instruments used in songs changed, too, for they put less focus on bass lines using bass guitars and bass synthesisers, and swapped out those instruments for booming drums, and even more electrical instruments.
