In my opinion Citizen Kane is an awful movie. I did not enjoy it all, nothing about it made me interested in it. I give it a 1 out of 5 stars. This film is a drama. The only drama part is when Kane dies and they have to figure out what "rosebud" means. That is the only part that Ames you keep watching. The ending was not very good in my opinion either. "If I had not been very rich, I might have been a really good man." -Charles Foster Kane. I personally do not like Charles Foster Kane. I think he is a bad guy and doesn't care about anyone but himself. He got married twice and he messed both of the marriages up himself. He tries to blame everyone else for his mistakes. Kane says that he is helping the working class or he is one of them.…show more content…
Rising action, you see Kane, his boss, and Susan in a room arguing. Mrs. Kane is also in the room, they are trying to make Kane stop the run for governor. Falling action, Kane losses the race because of his love nest affair. At this point I have no respect for Kane anymore. He ruined his marriage. If I have pity for anyone it would be Susan. Kane builds an opera house for her and then forces her to sing. She is not a good singer, but he wants her to sing anyway. She reads all of the bad reviews about her and gets really sad. To prove a point she over douses on some medicine. Then Kane finally realizes she really doesn't want to sing. Kane ruined this marriage to because he did not treated her right. When they were at a picnic in a tent, they started fighting. Kane got to mad and hit Susan. When they got back she left him. He got very mad and destroyed her room. I would not recommend this movie to anyone. There is a lot of meaning in this movie, but that doesn't mean it is a good one. 1 out of 5 stars. If you are not interested in the real meaning you will hate it. The plot is very confusing. If you do not like flash backs it will be hard to watch.
