1. EXECUTIVE SUMMARY This business case outlines how the Task Outsourcing System (ToS) Project will address current business concerns, benefits, recommendations and justification of the project. The business case also discusses detailed project goals, performance measures, assumptions, constraints, and alternative options. 1.1. Issue The American University of Nigeria, Yola has continued to grow in population and size. Students, staff, faculty and other community members are often busy either with studies or work. Outsourcing necessary tasks that cannot be accomplished due to time constraints, skills or even geographic location constraints has become a necessity. 1.2. Recommendation Various options and alternatives were analyzed to determine the best way to leverage technology to improve the outsourcing and task sourcing processes. The approach described herein allows us to meet the corporate objectives of continuously improving efficiency, reducing costs, and capitalizing on technology. The recommended ToS Project will allow for a new web-based platform in order to preserve data integrity and allow adequate time to source, hire and complete task sourcing activities.
