Ethan Xu Ancient Greek Governments In Ancient Greek, there were a lot of ways which the government controlled people. Some of them were good and some of them were really bad. Some of them helped people have better lives and some of them didn’t help people at all, it made people do more work and suffer. Monarchy The first method which governments used to care of others was monarchy. They were ruled by 1 king and wished their son to the take their place after they die. They did not care about citizens and had a lot of power. The king did not know how citizens lived, so people wanted other governments. Oligarchy This style of government was ruled by a few rich men and their slaves They lived good lives and had parties almost every day. Poor people had to work hard to live along, so the rich became richer and the poor became poorer. They didn't care about how others lived so people wanted other ways to be governed. Tyranny They were ruled by 1 man, and he did not have to be rich. They used their focus way too much. They forced people to help them. People who had power and were rich wanted a different style of government. Democracy Democracy is the style of government people use now. Everyone has a vote, everyone is not selfish and they share. Everyone can have food and can vote for what they want. Boys and girls can all go to school.…show more content…
They just come up with ways to make more money from citizens, and because of that, the poor become poorer and the rich become richer. Even though a book stated that a Tyranny was kind of good too, I disagree. It uses way too much force. You don't have to be rich to be the government, that is what I think. However, people who were rich and had power before wanted a different style of government, because they did not get enough votes or other stuff like that. Money does not work in a democracy at
