Diversity refer to the characteristics of an individual that shape their identities and experience. In the workplace we can observed diverse workforce. We discussed examples of diversity. Gender, ethic group, age, culture, education level, language and experience etc. Diversity in the workforce will strength the organization. This chapter focuses on managing the diversity. First it explain how use U.S. workforce is changing and its impact on the supervisors.
