Aurther Miller’s The Crucible has been compared to a morality play because of the way it sheds light on the flaws of society, church and individuals themselves. A morality play is a type of writing in which the author uses a story to highlight a situation or character trait that is immoral in hopes of bringing change and reform. Through The Crucible, Miller is able to give his opinion on American Culture through a creative story.
