Based on the definitions, this story is Third Person Omniscient, because the emotions and feelings of all characters are stated, not just that of the main character which would make it Third Person Limited. This can be seen specifically on page 435, “The boys were breathless. It scared them. It also hushed them – the grandeur of that heavy bird leaving earth for air” (Horgan 435). 2. What is the dramatic situation in the exposition of the story? (HINT: Why does the mood feel desperate? Why do the boys want to leave?) The dramatic situation in the exposition is the realization that the family does not have enough skins to stay warm, especially with the birth of a new baby. The feeling of desperation is only escalated by Josefina’s comments about the baby’s death, as well as the death of the other members of the family. 3.
