Shoplifting Prevention PSA Written by: Ian Rice 60 second TV spot VIDEO INT. RETAIL STORE The camera is facing the entrance straight on and slowly zooms out. A girl with short brown hair wearing a green hoodie and carrying a large purse is walking through the automatic doors to the store. She has a phone case and receipt in her hand. After getting through the doors, she walks off to the right. We change to a medium shot from behind the cash registers of the returns service desk. Camera is slowly zooming out. The girl walks up to the desk and tosses the case and receipt onto the desk at once. As the video goes into slow motion, it becomes slightly blurry. That's every 1 in 11 people. FADE OUT TEXT A tracking shot moving to the left behind small store counters follows the girl. FADE IN OVERLAY TEXT "A shoplifter does not have an average profile." FADE OUT TEXT As the camera goes behind another counter, we cut to a close up of the girl's face. Her eyes move from right to left. From an over-the-shoulder shot, we see the girl is looking at new phone cases hanging on the wall. She reaches for a case. A close up shows her hand taking it off the hook. A high angle shot which represents a security camera shows her looking around. From the over-the-shoulder shot, we see her hold the case up and look down at her purse. FADE IN OVERLAY TEXT What will YOU do? FADE OUT TEXT A close up tracking shot moving to right captures the girl walking over to the cash register. She turns toward the camera and sets her item on the counter. We see her speaking to the checkout operator as the camera slowly zooms
