Getting in serious trouble for a simple hat can be a real pain in the butt. Kids get their headgear confiscated for just wearing them inside the school building. The “no hats in school” rule is arguably the most ridiculous rule put in the schools. Headgear is meant to be worn, so why confiscate them from students? Students deserve the right to wear their headgear, point blank. This matter does not bother anyone at all, so there’s no reason for this to be a problem in the school systems. The laws give us the freedom of expression. And since the schools aren’t letting us express our expressions, then we must be breaking the law. And headgear is very fashionable. Suits being worn everyday was the thing back in the day, it’s the same thing with hats in today’s generation. It’s really no different.…show more content…
Who just likes to be nagged everyday for something that isn’t a bad thing to do? It isn’t illegal, and 99% of the time it’s not gang related. Yes, at a point in time it was gang related. But if you ask students why they wear their headgear, they’ll most likely say something like, “because it goes with my outfit”, or “I just like to.” Lastly, this matter takes too much time out of education. If you add up all the time teachers take out each year just to have students remove headwear, it would be a good 3-4 hours total. Do you think 3-4 hours is way too much time taken out of education? Students think so too. Students also think this rule should be removed from the school system, if you haven’t noticed yet. It is understandable that the administrations has this rule placed, but only to a certain extent. The staff may fear that wearing hats can be dangerous (gang related). Yes, it is part of the school’s job to keep kids safe. But students have enough common sense to take responsibility in wear headgear. Like come on now, it’s just a
