Sequence of Saint Eulalia (Literature) The sequence of Saint Eulalia is also to be cognizant as the Canticle of Saint Eulalia. It is the first surviving piece of French document. This literature is a hymn written to praise the Christian virtues. The author of this Sequence of Saint Eulalia was still kept anonymous. Eulalia of Mérida was the main character in this piece of literature. Eulalia of Mérida was young Roman Christian. She was put to death at the capital of Lusitania. Eulalia was a sincere Christian virgin. Her mother kept apart from her in the small town in AD 304.
