In order for an object to curve or circle, the moving object must continually be pushed or pulled in a curved path. The force that keeps an object curving is centripetal force. The centripetal force depends on, the object's mass, velocity, and the size of circle in which it travels. When riding a rollercoaster, the force of your acceleration and inertia pushes you from the coaster-car floor. Your own outward inertia creates a false gravity that keeps you in your seat even when you're upside down. When you are at the top of the loop, gravity is pulling you out of your seat, but at the same time the stronger acceleration force is pushing you towards the sky.
