Prompt: What advice would you offer to a student just beginning his/her high school career? High school changes people, and as a freshman, I never knew that I would be who I am today. As a milestone in my life, I wanted to make it as adventurous as possible, and that’s exactly what I did. I didn’t want to get caught up with any horrible decisions that I would regret, therefore I played it safe, but managed to take risks during my career as a high schooler. High school has nothing to do with parties, but more with becoming prepared for the college experience. As a freshman, I was the most terrified person you could have ever met. I had no idea what to expect and was horrified of making anybody upset with me. High school is not what is portrayed in most movies, it is much better because you shape your whole career around everything you learn and discover as a high school student. It turns out that I seem to have made it through the four dreaded years that everyone goes through. Freshman year wasn’t as frightening as it is said to be, even though it is perceived as the scariest year of high school, it’s most definitely not.…show more content…
That was most likely the hardest part for me to go through. It is definitely alright to be unsure of what you want to do, because I only found out what i wanted to do during the summer before senior year. Nobody will ever be sure of what they want to do until they are actually going through with it. Once you choose a major, you can change it whenever, but be fairly certain of your choices, or else it may end up costing much more than
