Some of the most talented and respected sculpture artists in the state of Michigan are bringing their work to Gallery 194 in Lapeer. The Sculptors Guild of Michigan exhibit opens Tuesday, October 6 and will be on display through Saturday, November 7. The public will be able to meet and engage with several of the artists at a special reception on Friday, October 16 from 6:00pm – 8:00pm. Visitors will be able to enjoy refreshments, beverages, mingle with the artists, and enjoy live music by local singer/song writer, Chris Eilersen. The Sculptors Guild of Michigan is made up of artists from across the state of Michigan who are invited to join the guild. Their styles are as varied as their media, ranging from abstracts to realism; these talented sculptors capture their subjects in stone, metal, wood, clay bronze, glass, concrete, papier-mache, and more. Many of the guild members are instructors in schools and universities around the state and are recognized in exhibitions, galleries, and in private, religious and corporate collections throughout the United States and Europe.…show more content…
