Based on the “Latin American City Model”, presented on the textbook, cities in the US and Latin America have similar and different structures. One similarity I see between the two is the location of their central business district (CBD). For example just like in the model, in the city of Chicago the CBD is located in downtown Chicago, the center of the city. Another similarity is the location of the elite residential sector. In the city of Chicago some of the most upper class neighborhoods, like Logan Square, Lincoln Park and West Town, are located right next to the CBD of the city.
