King Arthur, is a very remembered and talked about person in history. This is interesting because there is not any actual evidence stating he is a real person. There are many people that seem to believe he is a made up character, and was made up for the simple fact that he is a very brave person. Not only was King Arthur brave, but he was also always willing to do what was best for his people, and the people of his country. In a single fight, he lost most of his soldiers and he was also badly wounded while fighting. Not only was Arthur a loyal king, but he was also a very important person in all of his follower’s lives. "Jesus, mercy," said the King, "where are all my noble knights become? Alas that ever I should see this doleful day! For now," said King Arthur, "I am come to mine end. But would to God," said he. "That I now where were that traitor Sir Mordred that has caused all this mischief." In one simple sentence, Arthur seemed to tell the whole reason for this big fight, and what he was fighting for. He was fighting for his people, and he could not bear to see all his noble knights and citizens of his country lying on the floor, dead. Sir Mordred was an evil man, and caused a lot of trouble, as it can be read. Not only was he someone that caused a ton of trouble, but he was also someone that not a single person could trust. People hated Mordred, and it's got to suck to be hated. "Little is known about the possible figure who inspired the story of King Arthur, a heroic monarch who has been a popular mythological and literary character for some time." With that simple sentence being stated, it is said that Arthur was a mythological creature, and created by another human mind to make other people sound better. King Arthur was also one of the most intriguing citizens because of the love he held for his country. "Then in those days Arthur fought against them with the kings of the Britons, but he was commander in those battles." Personally, King Arthur was a very courageous person, and did a lot of cool things for his country. He was always willing to go to his deathbed for the people of his country and that will always be the noblest thing a King could do. "History rather blushes at the mention of his name; legend, on the other hand, brags much of him." Legend is a great thing, but so is history. Now which one is more believable? Definitely history in the eyes of many. Not only was history something everyone trusted, but it was also the more reasonable thing to believe. In this quote, "King Arthur, almost certainly was idealized, a myth, a legend not a historical fact. The historical facts that might point to a "real" figure, are few and far between, but it does not stop you from admiring, 'the one and future king.'" it again states that Arthur was just a myth, and not an actual person.
