Cheerleaders usually are pictured as girls who are conceited and do nothing more than cheer for football games but thats nothing compared to what we truly are. They think cheerleading isn’t a sport. What they don't know is we go through hard work to get to the best cheerleader we want to be and to beat other cheerleading squads at competition. Cheerleading is a sport because it is a physical activity, it involves competition. Cheerleading is a physical activity because “Physical activity is any body movement that works your muscles and requires more energy than resting.” ("What Is Physical Activity?" - NHLBI, NIH. N.p., n.d. Web. 07 Jan. 2015.) In saying, cheerleading includes dance, tumbling, and stunts which is body movement that works your muscles and requires more energy than resting.
