The World of Racism Hasn’t Stopped Completely In The United States, the government and society have always done their best in order to maintain equality to each and every one of us. But, however, racism brings them the inequality, which costs them the relationships, bringing a lot of issues to the entire community. From authors, Carlos Angulo and Ronald Weich, who state the racism issues still growing in the community, really makes equality worse. Having to agree with from what the authors say, To Kill A Mockingbird, The Central Park Five, and many articles that talk about racism are related to what they are saying. In the story, Tom Robinson was falsely accused by Bob Ewell, stating that he raped Mayella. Learning that Mr. Ewell is a single dad, who is such a drunk person and really care less about people, he represents himself as a bad parent and a bad role model for his daughter, Mayella. As Bob Ewell falsely accused Tom Robinson of raping his daughter, he shows a negative relationship toward the black Americans just to avoid getting into real trouble. While Tom Robinson had to get cross-examined during the testimony, but on the other hand, it is officially revealed that he did not rape Mayella. During the testimony, the fact is that Tom Robinson has never raped Mayella, which he would help her out and kiss her, showing how much he loves her. The dialogue “You never really understand a person until you consider things from his point of view … until you climb into his skin and walk around in it” represents Tom Robinson, which states that he got accused of raping Mayella, but reveals that he did not do. Whenever Mayella is in need of help, Tom Robinson would always do what he must in order help her get things done. With the kissing involved, Tom Robinson shares his love and affection to those he loves, no matter what race the people are. The accusation event occurred on March 25, 1939, where Ruby Bates and Victoria Price, got off the train and told the FBI that the boys raped them. Within the early 1900’s, both sides were never happy nor fair, mainly targeting hate on each race, which brings the white and black people to hate each other. The justice system in Alabama doesn’t have enough stability, which the system is be characterized as an unjust, unstable, and unbalanced. However, it is showing that during the testimony, where both Ruby Bates and Victoria Price are being untruthful, acting dishonest, and mainly lying during the testimony. During the trial process, it is being showed that both Bates and Price show no signs of rape. The dialogue “People generally see what they look for, and hear what they listen for.” represents that the attorneys, the judge, and juries want to know the truth, but instead they only hear fraudulent statements from both Ruby Bates and Victoria Price. Whatever lies they argued during the trial represents that both want segregation law to stay as a law forever in the far future as well, knowing that each race should live in only one area, nowhere else, or there will be consequences.
