The book carries countless messages and life-long lessons, but the one that resonates the most, is that women hold up half the sky – a Chinese proverb. Hence the tittle of the book; Half the Sky. The entire book was centered on this message and proving it to be true. Women are human and many of the pain inflicted on women is pointless, since men are provided with many of their human rights so should women.
