First Witnessed Prejudice

176 Words1 Page
I first witnessed prejudice when I was in junior high. The prejudice I’ve witnessed is in my church where women have no right to vote, be on the board that takes care our church school, or make decision regarding key events. While women are not allowed to be involved in such ways, often times most decision made by the men, affect the women and directly involve them. An example being that while women can't serve on the school board, throughout our K-6 school all teachers, except one, is female. Why should it be that women can vote for president, yet within my church women can't? This really opened my eyes to realize that while women have the rights within the country, women are still limited in the roles they are able to obtain in today’s society.
