Gun should not be abolished Did you know that there is a group of people in the United states that want the Government to strengthen gun laws even though that would violate our constitution right to bear arms. People want to strengthen gun laws to protect the people and try to end terrorism. When come to find out gun laws have been strengthened many times in our nation's history. On Friday, December 14, 2012, cauas wrang out in Newtown Connecticut when an elementary school by the name of Sandy Hook was broken into. There was a shooter by the name of Adam Lanza the killed twenty-six people including twenty young students and six teachers and staff. By banning firearms, gun violence will inturn go up because there are no good people to defend the public. Also, “guns are used up to 100 times more often to save a life than take life” (Gun Control Laws: Should the United States Adopt Stronger Gun Control Laws?). Although people may think that firearms are bad, they are used for many good reasons including sport and protection. This is very important today because gun control laws are always trying to be pushed yet if guns were completely abolished, it could cause a greater amount of terrorism and harm to our society because only the bad guys will have guns. That will make them know that they can attack anywhere and there will be no retaliation. The question should stay on top of everyone's mind because whether we like it or not, gun control laws will always be a hot topic in politics and until the people realize that gun control laws should be less strict, to protect people, rather than more strict, to harm people, the United States will stay debating this
