One problem faced by veterans is trying to find a resolution for Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and self-harming behavior, in particular, suicide attempts. Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) has been found to be useful in PTSD, and with the advent of tele psychiatry will CBT be as effective as face-to-face cognitive therapy in the prevention of future suicide attempts. These veterans had to be in the age range of 28-40. This age group of veterans is most common who suffer from PTSD due to a traumatic experience in war. Our purpose of picking this specific criteria and age group is because these are ones whom mostly likely experience a traumatic event or witness one, eventually leading to PTSD or negative thinking. War has recently been something very common with the most sufferings to PTSD and with a high rate of attempted suicide attempts. Our goal is to help and prevent any further action. Many of these veterans really don’t have families or kids. They feel helpless, and especially during the trauma not being able to help one self or the situation.
