Romeo and Juliet the romance play written by William Shakespeare is about two star crossed lovers from feuding families in Verona who need to keep their love in the dark. For how long will they be able to keep this secret? Will this love turn out to be toxic? Their love was strong, but Juliet’s haste led to their downfall. Juliet was blinded by love. She could not see what she was doing and how destructive this was to her and Romeo because she was impulsive and love sick. Juliet is responsible for both of their deaths because she did not think anything over, she just acted. At the part after they met and the Nurse came to get her Juliet told the Nurse, “Go ask his name. If he be married. My grave is like to be my wedding bed.’’(I. II 130-137) Juliet has only met Romeo at the party and she instantly fell in love with him. She did not want to marry Paris, but she said that she would die if Romeo was married. She changed her thoughts on marriage and fell in love instantly with Romeo. She got blinded with love and forgot about not wanting marriage.
