Katie emphasized the fact that Native Hill is continually striving to be an economically viable farm. Since Native Hill is a fairly small farm, one of their main goals is to maximize as much yield as they can with as little use of water and other resources. Nic and Katie firmly believe that the entire food system needs to keep exploring better farming practices and techniques to conserve the world’s resources. In particular, one of Native Hill’s biggest obstacle is having access to adequate water to water their crops.
