The book, “A Long Walk to Water” really changed my heart. In the first few chapters of the book, Salva had to run away. My perspective was thinking that they should just flee and it wouldn’t be that hard to leave. I thought that he should just walk to the borders, cross over to Uganda or somewhere else, and be home free. Boy was I wrong about that! What I didn’t know was that their was trouble everywhere. First they travel to Tanzania and they face lions, then they travel through Ethiopia and face dehydration and robbery. Based on the book and Salva’s feelings, you could tell that he was trying so hard to be strong, when he was little and older.
