Ames Room Illusions are happen when we wrongly perceive or interpret something with our senses like the Ames Room. The Ames Room is used to demonstrate how our brains rely on experiences when trying to interpret many possible alternatives. It was brought into concept by Hermann von Helmholtz; however, he never constructed one. Helmholtz came up with the concept because he wanted to prove that perspectives were more influential than the ability to judge depth based on the slightly different angles of vision from each eye.
