INTRODUCTION Halal is a well-known word among the Muslim world. Most of the Muslims will tend to search or buy halal products because in Islam, Allah orders all Muslims to choose the halal rather than haram. As it is return in the Holy Quran, Allah says: “O mankind, eat from whatever is on earth [that is] lawful and good and do not follow the footsteps of Satan. Indeed, he is to you a clear enemy”. (Surah Al-Baqarah, 2:168) The Holy Quran also states: “And eat of the things which Allah has provided for you, lawful and good, and fear Allah in Whom you believe”. (Surah Al-Maidah, 5:88) Halal is actually a word that came from Arabic which means lawful or permissible under the shari’ah law.
