Unnecessary Risk “The war… was an unnecessary condition of affairs, and might have been avoided if forbearance and wisdom had been practiced on both sides” quote by Robert E. Lee. I agree with this quote a lot because if you start thinking of the consequences and what will happen in the future. This is why war and people die because they don’t think of the future. I don’t think you can practice wisdom but you can just start thinking more. Teens take unnecessary risk like in Romeo and Juliet; both Romeo and Juliet talk to their enemy, Romeo proposing to Juliet and actually getting married, and both of them killing themselves. Romeo and his friends go to the Capulets party and Romeo and Juliet talk to their enemy. “… My lips, two blushing pilgrims, ready stand To smooth that rough touch with a tender kiss” Juliet responds by saying “…hands do touch, And palm to palm is holy palmers kiss” (Act 1, Scene 5, Pg 14). First of all since Romeo and his friends are at their enemy’s party and they know it. Like I said before teens don’t think of what will happen in the future, and that what Romeo and his friends didn’t think through of what will happen if I go to this party. Also Romeo wants to kiss Juliet on the first sight of her.…show more content…
Romeo says “… Here’s to my love! O true apothecary! Thy drugs are quick. Thus with a kiss I die.” When Juliet wakes up from her sleep she finds Romeo dead and says “Go, get thee hence, for I will not away … To make die with a restorative. … there rust, and let me die” (Act 5 Scene 3 Pg 43 and 44). Remember they are 12 and 14 years old they had so much life to live and they kill themselves. They also got to remember there will be always someone better. As I have been saying they didn’t even think of the consequences of their choices. They didn’t think of their family, there death ruined their parent’s life.
