Unmarried Cohabitation Summary In the article “Unmarried Cohabitation” from the National Marriage Project’s State of Our Unions Report 2011 indicates that living together, sharing household and family before marriage is very common between younger people, and “… among those of lower educational and income levels (Wilcox and Marquardt 75)”. Thinking that cohabitation before marriage will lead into a successful marriage is a common belief in this era, but this have not yet been prove it, right or wrong. “It is estimated that about a quarter of unmarried women age 25 to 39 are currently living with a partner and an additional quarter have lived with a partner at some time in the past.” (75).
