Individuals who have obesity or overweight problems are usually not satisfied with their weight. Many of them tend to use unhealthy ways to reduce their weight. According to Grigg, Bowman, and Redman (1996), a study had carried out among individuals on how they manage their weight reduction. The result shows that they reduce their weight by unhealthy dieting. Besides, obesity or overweight will harm our health and it will increase the risk of heart disease, cancer, and other diseases. The best way to address this problem is to start with weight reduction healthily. Losing weight can help one not only in the physical aspects, but also in the mental aspects like to reduce stress level, increase energy level and have a positive sense of self. Shilstone (2005, p.165) stated that the most effective and easiest way to prevent all types of diseases is exercising. It can help to burn excessive fats, increase body structure, and prevent heart disease (Brodhead, 2004, p.3). If someone does not have exercise habit and decide to lose weight, they can begin with small amounts of activity every day (Smith & Robinson, 2016). They will not easy to get injured if they begin with small amounts of exercise instead of doing vigorous exercises. For example, they can walk at least 30 minutes every day. There are a lot of exercises such as playing basketball, swimming, jogging, running and so on. Jogging and swimming help one to burn more than 300 calories per hour while running can burn more than 500 calories per hour (Kerr, 2016). Besides, walking is the most common and efficient exercise to lose weight. It can help to burn calories, decrease blood pressure, and cut down the risk of disease (Goldman, 2016).
