Hannah Barney Ms. Heller English 11, Period 3 27 September 2015 To Kill A Mockingbird is a knowledgable novel with several commendable messages meaningiful in modern day living. This particular novella is based on the early 1930s, in which racism and discrimination were still prominiently existant. The crash of the stock market was in the 1930s, as well as the Scottsboro trial of 1937. The plot regards to the youthful journey of Scout and Jem as they grow up in a politically, socially, and economically flawed society.
