If I were in Franklin D. Roosevelt's position, I am not entirely sure I could drop atomic bombs on a country. I have never been huge on gore, guns, and violence, let alone war. When i think about Hiroshima, the first thing my mind travels to is all of the innocent families that were killed in cold blood to intimidate the entire country. Nearly 200,000 people were killed, and another 90,000 were injured. (Total Casualties) I find it hard to process the idea of breaking up families and ruining the lives of the innocent. I also find it hard to process how different America would be if we hadn't launched the attack. On one hand, launching Hiroshima reduced the risk of american casualties if we had sent troops into Japan. It also sent the message
