The title “The Fault in Our Stars” is a reference to a line in Shakespeare's Julius Caesar: "The fault, dear Brutus, is not in our stars/But in ourselves". It is the sixth novel by author John Green, published in January 2012. John Michael Green was born on August 24, 1977, to Mike and Sydney Green in Indianapolis. John Green is a recent popular name in the American young adult fiction. He is also an avid video blogger who has published numerous educational videos online. The Fault in Our Stars is considered to be his outstanding by far along with other notables. The years to come brought Green achievement of his lifetime in the form of The Fault in Our Stars. This book gives the reader a candid look at cancer. She has undergone many different treatments for this, but she knows as well as her family that death is impending. Although she prefers to isolate herself from her peers, her physician recommends that she attends a weekly cancer support group where she meets Augustus Waters, a young boy in who is in remission. Although she is not thrilled about being a part of this group she soon finds a reason to like it. Augustus immediately shows an interest in Hazel and the two become fast friends. He takes an immediate liking to Hazel and their romantic relationship quickly blossoms. They spend many days and experiences together from reading the same books to playing blind video games with their friend Isaac. The biggest impact is left by a book called An Imperial Affliction. This is also a book about cancer. Throughout the book, many of their adventures are driven by this book from many different conversations to a wish turned into a trip to Amsterdam to find the end of the story of “An Imperial Affliction”. Their experiences living with cancer brings them closer as they search for answers to Hazel’s favorite novel that ends
