During the pope’s visit to America, he spoke to congress on Thursday, September 24th. The pontiff addressed many issues such as climate change, immigration, and the family dynamic. Pope Francis’ message was so powerful that Catholic Speaker of the House, John Boehner, and Mark Rubio, Republican presidential candidate, were moved to tears during his discourse. What personally spoke to me the most about the pope’s speech was his stance on immigration.
