I die on the blacktop at P.E. A crowd gathered around me. "Back off!" Yelled coach. Everyone scuttled backwards, but staring at me the whole time. "NOOOOOOOOOO!" cried a voice from the back of the crowd. The person pushed through the ginormous crowd of students and finally burst through, gasping and panicking. He ran toward my body and knelt down beside me, holding my head in his hands. "Sophia," he said so softly that you could barely hear him. "Wake up." My body didn't move a muscle. "Sophia! Get up please!" he cried. You could hear the pain in his voice as he moaned. "Noooooooooo please no!" He grabbed my shoulders and shook them vigorously. He gently slapped my face several times before he realized it was hopeless. "SOPHIA PLEASE NO!" Dylan followed his gaze, and they saw streaks of light coming down from the clouds. It was like the clouds had opened and let out light, and what was weird was that the light was aimed directly at my body. The crowd was so silent that you could hear a pin drop. The light - only pointed at me - started to shimmer, and it got brighter, and brighter, and brighter, and brighter until Josh, Dylan, and the rest of the students had to shield their eyes in order to not become blind. The light grew until it was as bright as the sun, and just like it seemed like the light was going to explode, it all disappeared. Everyone rubbed their eyes and blinked a couple of times before they got the spots out of their eyes, but when they did, they saw something only a miracle could make happen. I was laying there, with Josh still grasping my hand. Unmoving. Still as a board. Not breathing. Then my eyes fluttered open. I looked up and saw Josh and Dylan kneeling beside me.
