We all remember the day that about twenty militants from the extremist group Al-Qaeda hijacked four planes and purposely flew them into the Twin Towers. This was the worst terrorist attack and largest loss of life on American soil. This day is commonly known as 9/11. (History.com) The attack took the lives of nearly 3000 people including 400 police officers and firefighters. Also two unborn babies died. Out of the victims, 75-80 percent were men. Patriots day is to honor those lost that day. (Cnn.com) After the attack there was a cloud of dust and debris covering the city. The 1.8 million tons of debris took over nine months and more than one million dollars to clean. It also took firefighters almost 100 days to put out fires spread across
