Goals and dreams motivate people to accomplish something or make you become a different person in life. In the novel ,” Of Mice And Men”, three people had their dreams set but really didn’t have goals that will help them achieve it. Lennie, George and Curley’s Wife all had big dreams that they wanted to come true. Lennie, one of the characters, dreams were to one day tend rabbits. For example, Lennie wanted to tend rabbits because every time his Aunt Clara gives him a mouse to pet Lennie will alway end up killing them. Lennie thinks the mice were trying to bite him so he squeezed their heads and kill them . He wants something big enough to tend , a rabbit. “ I wish’t we’d get the rabbits pretty soon, George. Accordingly, George dream was to have his own land and everytime he talks about having his own land Lennie was part of it. Even though George has been with Lennie through good times and bad. George dreams of a life without Lennie because Lennie has always had a problem , mentality, and he alway ends up messing things up for himself and George is the one who help him escape it. But George is tired of it all, " If I was alone I could live so easy. I could go get a job an' work, an' no trouble. No mess at all, an' when the end of the month come I could take my fifty bucks and go into town and get whatever I want. Why I could stay in a cathouse all night. I could eat any place I want, hotel or any place, and order any damn thing I could think of." (10) To point out, Since George really doesn't want Lennie to ruin their job at the ranch he warned Lennie to come back to the brush whenever he gets in trouble and George will come back for him because the job was a gateway for George to get the his own land. " Course you did. Well, look Lennie-if you just happen to get in trouble like you always done before, I want you to come here an' hide in the brush." Hide in the brush till I come for you." (16&17) Furthermore, George kill Lennie because he didn't want to watch Curley lynch Lennie after Lennie had killed Curley's wife and plus it was gonna be a horrible death. " And George raised
