I cannot recall a day in my life when I have not heard the sound of a bouncing ball; I grew up eating and breathing basketball. My heart fell in love with the winning, the competition, the adrenaline ever since I started rolling my dad’s tube sock and shooting an imaginary shot against the wall. “It was a story when I was still a kid; I was strolling around the Smith Park with a ball in my hand and wearing a gold/purple NBA jersey until I espied a compelling teenager playing basketball with tight handles, and great athleticism on the opposite side. While I was watching him playing 4on4, I was cerebrating about my future after he ignites my dream that I will become a pro basketball player in the NBA. You and such an imaginary kid, you are not even in the NBA.“ Coach Jack said with a big smile. Suddenly, a group of boys showed up wearing baggy pants and dark hoodies. Coach looked towards the hoodlums and whispered towards me ”Do not like be them.“ The group of boys then looked throughout the restaurant, with furious intent in their eyes, a shiny gleam peered out of the side pocket of one of the boys, before I could comprehend what just happened, and a member of the group pulled his gun out. He aims at his enemies that were dining at the left side of my table, a sound of a gun created a riot in the restaurant, the bullet refracted and changed the direction towards me, but at the last moment. Coach Jack jumped into the air and shielded my life from that fatal bullet. Afterward, I fainted together with Coach's body on the shiny ceramic tile floor. The tragedy murdered fifteen clients but at the same time, it murdered the most consequential person in my entire life. Therefore, instead of falling into deep sorrow, I kept working harder and better for Coach Jack who selflessly protected me from death and a speech that always constantly reminded me of him “Come on Youngblood, and let’s get to work.” I proudly said in front of the crowd in the NBA draft. I could not hold back my tear while bringing up my hat as a Los Angeles Lakers No. 1 overall
